Serving Bon Air with Premium Glass Services
Bon Air sits just southwest of Richmond, off Huguenot Road in Chesterfield County. The name means "good air." Richmonders gave it that name in 1877, when they came out here to escape the summer heat in the city. Bon Air sits higher than Richmond does, so the air was cooler and cleaner.
Many of the homes from those early years are still standing. The old village core is a National Register historic district, full of Victorian cottages with deep porches, tall windows, and original wood sash. Around that core sit the ranches and Colonials that went up after World War II, on the shady, tree-lined streets the area is known for.
More Than Glass works with Bon Air homeowners on custom glass for houses of every age. Older homes rarely have square openings or standard sizes, so we measure and cut each piece to fit the house in front of us. Every project begins with an in-home consultation, where we take measurements, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed quote.
Our Mechanicsville showroom is about 30-minute drive from Bon Air. If you'd prefer to visit our showroom, we're happy to schedule that too.
